Macaroons in New Orleans
I was coming back from the New Orleans airport and drove past a little shop called Sucre. Immediately I thought...."They must sell something French." So I turned around, and went inside.
I was floored when I walked in! It was a French pastry and chocolate shop! There were macaroons, cupcakes, chocolates, and even gelato:) I came back THREE times in one day! I later found out that everything is made there FRESH, and you can taste it. Each time I got a box of macaroons, and each time I returned I got a larger box. My favorite flavors were almond, pistachio, and strawberry.
NB: You can sample anything in Sucre (if you ask) so I nibbled on imperfect macaroons while I was waiting.
Finding Sucre was the highlight of my day, and I can't wait to make these into miniatures!

Macro Meals
I was looking for a macro lens for my camera when I came across an article written by Stephen Elliot. In the article he shows how you can take a normal (18-55mm) wide-angle lens, reverse it and tape it back together. The method is called reverse lens macro and this is sort of what it looks like.
I was super curious to try this before I decide which macro lens to purchase. Here are the results:
Also, the pictures have tendency to turn out really dark, but I like them for my first try.
Adios,
Toni

Songs & Sushi
Question: What is the song in this video? Who made it?
Answer: I made it in garageband. It takes about 30 minutes to make a good one:)

I also got Angie Scarrs 2 mini books, and they are amazing! I tried the salmon, and didn't realize how hard it was. You need A LOT of clay to attempt that cane...better luck next time:)
